陰の実力者になりたくて！（The Eminence in Shadow）

■まずは陰に潜み、陰を狩るもの「シャドーガーデン」のメンバーから紹介しよう。その最強メンバー「七影」のリーダーが「アルファ」であり、七影でも最高の頭脳と戦闘力を併せ持つ完璧超人である。実は悪魔ディアボロスを退けたとされる「英雄オリヴィエ」の子孫であり、エルフの剣聖「ベアトリクス」と容姿が似ている。

■「七影」の第七席は、技術面で優れているがマイペースな研究担当のエルフ「イータ」。表舞台では「ミツゴシ商会」の各支店の建築に携わり「稀代の建築家」として名が知られている。

■続いて表舞台の登場人物。「ミドガル王国魔剣士学園」に通う「アレクシア・ミドガル」はミドガル王国の第二王女であり、婚約者と距離を置く為、告白してきた「シド・アゲノー」と付き合う。「シド・カゲノー」が告白してきたのは友人との賭けに負けた罰ゲームであったことをすぐに見破り、金の力で恋人関係を続ける間柄となる。第一王女である姉の「アイリス・ミドガル」はミドガル王国最強の魔剣士であり、魔力に乏しい「アレクシア」は常に姉と比べられ「凡人の剣」と呼ばれ、劣等感を持っている。しかし「シャドー（シド・カゲノーの裏の姿）」の圧倒的な強さを目撃し、その太刀筋が自身の「凡人の剣」と同じだったことから、その太刀筋を極めようと奮い立つ。
