このアニメのすごいところは、敵が強すぎるところです。魏国の「廉頗（レンパ）」大将軍も強すぎて倒せませんでしたが、一番の宿敵は趙国の天才軍師「李牧（リボク）」です。趙国の武神「龐煖（ホウケン）」と共に秦国伝説の大将軍を破り、さらに六国同盟を結成して秦国に攻め入り、秦国を滅亡寸前まで追い込みます。最初に戦場に登場したのはコミックで16巻ですが、現在70巻でまだ李牧を倒せていません。さらに趙国には英傑「司馬尚（シバショウ）」もおり、現在趙国に攻め入った秦国軍を全滅寸前まで追い込んでいます。それ以外に大国の楚国では大将軍兼宰相にまで上り詰めた策略家「媧燐（カリン）」が秦国を滅ぼそうと暗躍しています。まさにピンチの連続で見始めたら止まりません。残念なところはファーストシーズンのキャラクターのCGが陳腐なところです。

秦国の兵士たちを紹介します。このアニメで一番人気のあるのが飛信隊の女副長「羌瘣（キョウカイ）」です。伝説の刺客一族で、一時的に神の力を身に宿すことのできる女剣士です。何度も飛信隊の窮地を助け、敵将からも化け物と恐れられます。その飛信隊の女軍師が「河了貂（カリョウテン）」です。王弟反乱の際に「信」と共に秦国王「嬴政」を助けたことで「嬴政」とは親しい仲になります。そして軍総指令「昌平君（しょうへいくん）」に軍略を習い、飛信隊の軍師になります。死んだ両親が山民族の出身であったために身なりが山民族です。その山民族の王が「楊端和（ヨウタンワ）」です。王弟反乱の際に「嬴政」「信」「河了貂」と共に戦い王弟を退けたことで、山民族と秦国は国交を結び、秦国の大将軍の一人となります。秦国へ攻め入った趙国天才軍師「李牧（リボク）」も、山民族の存在とその強さは知らず、あと一歩で秦国を陥落させられたところで撤退を余儀なくさせられます。「楊端和」は「信」が最も信頼する大将軍です。一方大将軍の一人である元野盗の長である「桓騎（カンキ）」は農民の女や子供でも平気で殺し、その首を敵に送り付けるほど残虐であり、「信」は味方ながらに憎んでいます。しかし、その戦術は敵の想像を超えるほど奇抜であり、趙国を苦しめます。その「桓騎」ですら逆らえないのが、秦国最強の大将軍「王翦（オウセン）」です。しかし自分の王国を築くという野心が噂されており、要注意人物として周りの信頼も薄いです。それ以外にも味方の中に敵が多いのがこの物語の特徴です。
