かつて武士の時代を終わらせた、伝説の人切り「緋村剣心（ヒムラケンシン）」は、新政府への勧誘を断り流浪の旅を続けていた。もう人は切らないと心に誓った剣心であったが、「剣心」を知るかつての人切り達が襲い掛かる。
